Who we are
Returnest is a pilot service that helps people find retirement accounts they left behind at former employers. This notice explains, in plain terms, what happens to the details you give us.

What we collect
Only what you type into the form on this site:
- Your email address
- Your full name
- Your phone number, if you choose to give it
- The states you have lived in
- The employers you have worked for, with city, state and approximate years
- How you heard about us, if you tell us
Why we collect it
To run your free search and email you the result. Your work history tells us which records to search. The states you lived in tell us which state databases to check. That is the whole purpose.
What we never collect
We do not ask for your Social Security number on this site, and we do not ask for bank details, card numbers or passwords. We never will. If a plan turns up and a government form needs your Social Security number, you write it on that form yourself and sign it. We do not keep a copy.
Where your details are kept
The form is run by Tally, a form service. Your answers are copied into a private spreadsheet that only our team can open. Neither is public.
Who else sees it
We do not sell your details and we do not share them for advertising. If the search finds signs of a plan, we will ask you separately and in writing before we contact any plan administrator on your behalf. Nothing leaves us until you say yes.
How long we keep it
We keep your details until you ask us to delete them. If the search finds nothing, we will ask whether you want us to check again in six months. Say no, and we delete what we hold.
Your choices
Email us at email pending and we will show you what we hold, correct it, or delete it. There is no form to fill in and nothing to pay. If you live in California, state law gives you these rights, and we honor them for everyone.
